Obesity and sedentary lifestyle

My classmate Steph presented a good theme, the Obesity.....

First of all Stephanie showed us some videos related to the her topic, where we could see a lot of child eating a lot, no doing excercises, just they were watching television, playing games, eating junk food, drinking coke, in my opinion was disgusting watched through her videos babies BIG babes doing nothing, the problem is..... the fault is of the parents??

Is a controversial topic, Stephanie, showed us some graphics related to the people around the world that are obese, in USA the quantity of people that consume junk food have been growing up day by day, the quantity of calories have been increase about 3654 calories per day, in my opinion I think that it is too much, for that reason in EEUU a big part of the population is FAT......

In my opinion, we as future teachers, we can help to our student to prevent the obesity, trying to teach in a good way natural values, for example, try to consume vegetables, fruit, milk, chicken, fish...... and try to persuade our student to prevent the obesity into the scholar community desmosntrating with real facts.....

Stephanie´s presentation was good, was very good, but they betrayed it to the nerves and they caused that Stephanie forgot information that provoke contradiction in her presentation, the resources was good, the slides pretty cool, methodologically speaking I think that was poor, because her words were not connected with her presentation, despite of, were clear but was sometimes bored and an slow presentation.

Relaxation Techniques

My classmate Daisy Barril talked about the Relaxation Techniques, Daisy started her presentation asking some questions about her theme, and for example, what are the relaxation techniques?

After the question, Daisy answered us about the main objective of the relaxation techniques, because as a she explained before, we as a Teacher we have to know more about that, because we will work with persons, with child, adolescents, so we have to know when they are tired, bored, and using these relaxation techniques with our student to stop the stress, angry, pain, for example. Daisy show us some slides about the most common techniques:

1. 1. Deep breathing
2. 2. Visualization

According those tips, we can use them to take a break and think about myself to relax me and to be able to continue with the daily routines. In my opinion her topic was amazing, but the way that daisy explained us the topic was not good, she showed herself uncomfortable presenting, very nervous, in my opinion, Daisy demonstrated not dominion of the theme, for that reason I think that her presentation was not clear.

Gustavo´s Presentation

My classmate Gustavo Rojas today talked about his school, he made a presentation giving us information about Instituto Nacional, Gustavo started his presentation talking about the history of his Ex-School, for example, who was the date and the name of the president during the creation of Instituto Nacional, Gustavo mentioned that Instituto Nacional was the first public school with the first score in educational process also my classmate gave us some information about the age, for example, a newspaper of that age was "El monitor Araucano" that wrote about the celebration in August 10th 1813, Mateo de toro y Zambrano was in the government.

In my opinion my classmate showed a poor presentation , because his comments about the topic was without fundaments, he showed a poor dominion of the theme, despite of his slides were good, but Gustavo did not take advantage of them. Gustavo was very nervous presenting his theme.

II Semester

Last week, we were working with Mr. Litman...

We talked about the present Semester and he gave us the schedule about topics, the movies that we will have to watch soon......

Some of us talked about feedback concerning to the last semester, about tasks, marks, and the blog... was a good instance to be critic in front of us and the teacher.... was a good idea to speak and be to honest with our learnign process.

Shakespeare In Love

Shakespeare in Love is a film made in the United States in 1998, Directed by John Madden, the themes into the movie are the Comedy and Romance, the movie won an Oscar for the best movie in 1998.

The movie is situated in the London 1593, is an intelligent and shining comedy, where a young dramatist called William Shakespeare tries to give form to his new work, but the lack of money and inspiration are sinking in the hopelessness. In the film is possible to find, hope and hopelessness, on the part of william Shakespeare, which is lost without inspiration, is not be able to realize his work as a dramatist, that is, until appears lady Viola, which makes him to recover the lost essence and makes him write one of the best comedies of the age.

In my opinion, when I watched the film, was love at first sight, the movie showed me that the real love exist, I used to watched that movies when I was younger than now, but now, Shakespeare in love, is one of my favourite movies, you can find love, comedy, wickedness, betrayal, happiness, it is a real and enjoyable movie that I have never seen before.

Brokeback Mountain is a film made in 2005, directed by Ang Lee, based on a brief story of Annie Proulx, winner of the Pulitzer prize. The script was written by Diana Ossana and Larry McMurtry (also winner of the Pulitzer prize). These writers won an Oscar by their work, one of the three that obtained the film, of a total of eight nominations.

You can find into the film the real friendship, love, hope, frustration, between two guys that they are working so far from their home, in Wyoming, United States. The film narrates the story of their lives and their continuous and complex relation during two decades, that continues while both get marry with their wifes and have children.

My personal opinion about the film is that has a great script, where the homosexual theme is touched into the film. The film is sensational I love the pictures that the film showed, with landscapes of dream surrounded by forests of pines and mountains, great sun puttings and others. It was an excelent movie that I never seen before.
